Bulgaria Busts 16 Illegal Immigrants from Afghanistan, Iraq, Algeria.

Bulgaria's Border Police has busted a total of 16 illegal immigrants from as far as Afghanistan, Iraq, and Algeria.

13 men were arrested late Tuesday night near the southwestern Bulgarian town of Petrich after they went around the Bulgaria-Greece border crossing point at Kulata-Promachonas, the Interior Ministry announced.

Eight of them are Afghans, three are Iraqis, and one is Algerian. The Bulgarian Border Police have also captured a Polish citizen who is believed to be in charge of the human trafficking channel.

Five of the Afghans were found to have temporary residence permits issued by the Greek authorities.
